Boys Minor League (9-10 years old) Information
Minor League Rules:

• Games will be 6 innings in length or 1 hour and 45 minutes.
• 12-run rule after 4 innings. 10-run rule after 5 innings.
• Entire roster will bat.
• Late arriving players will be inserted at the bottom of batting order. If the team is on defense with only 8 players, then the player can be inserted immediately. Otherwise he cannot enter until the start of the next inning.
• The responsibility to avoid contact lies with the runner. Any runner is out when the runner does not slide or attempt to get around a fielder who has the ball and is waiting to make the tag. Running to first base after the ball is hit is the only exception. This is the umpire’s discretion.
• Any base runner purposely interfering with an attempted play on the ball by the fielder will be ruled out and a dead ball shall be declared.
• Minor League pitching rules are as follows:
• If a player pitches 66 or more pitches (max of 75) in a day, four (4) calendar days of rest must be observed.
• If a player pitches 51 - 65 pitches in a day, three (3) calendar days of rest must be observed.
• If a player pitches 36 - 50 pitches in a day, two (2) calendar days of rest must be observed.
• If a player pitches 21 - 35 pitches in a day, one (1) calendar day of rest must be observed.
• If a player pitches 1-20 pitches in a day, no (0) calendar day of rest is required.
• If a pitcher reaches the limit (75) while facing a batter, he can finish that at-bat.
• A player may not pitch in more than one game in a day.
• A pitcher who throws 41 or more pitches in a game cannot play catcher for the remainder of that day.
• No stealing home on a clean exchange between catcher and pitcher
• Each team must pitch a 9 year old for one complete inning before the end of the 4th inning
• A courtesy runner may be used for the catcher of record the previous time on defense when he is on base with two (2) outs. The courtesy runner must be the player that made the last out. If no outs have been recorded the courtesy will be the previous batter not on base
• Free substitution at any position except pitcher. Once your pitcher is removed from the mound they cannot reenter as a pitcher.
• Each half inning will consist of 3 outs or 5 runs (max), whichever occurs first. When the 5th run scores, the play continues. Each run that scores during this play will count and the inning will be over when play is ruled dead.
• Last inning will be unlimited runs.
• Defensive team consists of 9 players.
• No intentional walks.
• No leading off shall be allowed in the Minor League games.
• If a runner leaves a base early (before the ball is hit or crosses the plate), the umpire will direct the runner back to the base. If that base is now occupied due to hit on pitch, runner will be called out.
• Player removed for disciplinary reasons will be called out each time he is at bat.
• Player that is ill or injured will not be called out each time.
• No headfirst slides unless going back to base.
• If the catcher drops the ball on the third strike then the batter shall be called out.
• A thrown bat will result in a team warning. After the warning, if a batter throws a bat he ill be called out.
• Little League rules apply in all other cases.
