Lower Dauphin High School Baseball & Softball Fields Scheduling Site - (Hummelstown, PA)

Field Usage Agreement

This is an agreement that must be completed and signed by individuals requesting user of a field or a representative of, and/or the coaches of local organizations that would like to a Hummelstown Boro field, Nye Field, the Lower Dauphin Middle School 60/90 field, and/or the two fields at Keller Park. Field usage guidelines are identified below. They are also posted on the equipment shed at each field so that there is no misunderstanding as to what is expected each time a field is used. Failure to comply with the guidelines mayresult in future loss of a field for the individual or offending team.

Scheduling. All games and practices must be scheduled through the Lower Dauphin field scheduler, no exceptions. The field scheduler will add practices and/or games to the master field calendars within 24 hours, or 1 business day of receipt of a request and provide confirmation to the individual or coach requesting the field. Additionally, the field scheduler will attend the league scheduling meetings to ensure that there are no game scheduling conflicts with any field.

* Field usage requirements.
* Each team must rake/drag field after each game or practice
* Use clay (if available) in batters boxes and mound area and tamp it (Nye and MS fields only)
* Cover home plate and mound with tarps and buckets (Nye and MS fields only)
* Remove bases, secure them in shed and insert base plugs
* Sweep dugouts
* Pick up any trash and/or bottles
* Put all rakes, etc in shed and ensure the shed is locked

The representative submitting this request certifies that the/she has the authority to accept responsibility on behalf of the team, group, or organization that is using the facility and agrees to the terms identified in the field usage agreement. The representative submitting the request further assumes full responsibility for the supervision of his/her team or group and the safety of other participants and will hold harmless the Hummelstown Boro and/or Lower Dauphin School District or any of its representatives from any liability or responsibility, and further agrees to indemnify them and hold them harmless from any losses, including court costs and/or attorney fees.

I hereby release Hummelstown Boro and/or Lower Dauphin School District and representatives or officials of the same from any liability due to injury while on the property or using the field(s) requested. In addition I also release the same parties from reliability related to COVID-19.
