T-Ball - Entry level based entirely on hitting a ball from a rubber tee. Open to boys and girls, recommended ages 5 & 6.

Big Sticks - Runs and outs are not counted. An adult coach will pitch, but players have the option of hitting from a tee. Open to boys and girls, recommended ages 6 & 7.

Minors - Competitive and fun level where outs and runs are counted. Adult coaches pitch for first half of the season and pitching by players is introduced in the second half for 1/2 a game. Open to boys and girls, recommended ages 7-10.

NEW SCOTLAND KIWANIS Release of Liability Relating to Coronavirus / COVID-19

The novel corona virus, COVID-19, has been declared a worldwide pandemic by the World Health Organization. COVID-19 is reported to be extremely contagious. The state of medical knowledge is evolving, but the virus is believed to spread from person-to-person contact and/or by contact with contaminated surfaces and objects and even possibly in the air. People reportedly can be infected and show no symptoms and therefore spread the disease. The exact methods of spread and contraction are unknown, and there is no known treatment, cure or vaccine for COVID-19. Evidence has shown that COVID-19 can cause serious and potentially life threatening illness and even death.

NEW SCOTLAND KIWANIS cannot prevent you or your child(ren) from becoming exposed to, contracting, or spreading COVID-19 while participating in NEW SCOTLAND KIWANIS activities. It is not possible to prevent the presence of the disease. Therefore, if you chose to participate in NEW SCOTLAND KIWANIS activities you may be exposed to and/or increase the risk of contracting or spreading COVID-19.

ASSUMPTION OF RISK:
I have read and understand the above warning concerning COVID-19. I knowingly and freely assume all risks of contracting COVID-19 for myself and/or my child(ren) in order to participate in NEW SCOTLAND KIWANIS activities. These services are of such value to me and/or my children that I accept the risk of being exposed to, contracting, and/or spreading COVID-19 in order to participate in NEW SCOTLAND KIWANIS activities.

WAIVER OF LAWSUIT/LIABILITY:
I, for myself and on behalf of my heirs, assignees, personal representatives and next of kin, hereby forever release, indemnify, and hold harmless, NEW SCOTLAND KIWANIS and its owners, officers, officials, agents, employees or other representatives, NEW SCOTLAND KIWANIS member clubs and teams, and owners and lessors of premises used for NEW SCOTLAND KIWANIS activities, in connection with exposure, infection, and/or spread of COVID-19 related to participating in NEW SCOTLAND KIWANIS activities. I understand that this waiver means I give up my right to bring any claims including for personal injuries, death, and disease or property losses, including but not limited to, claims of negligence, and give up any claim I may have to seek damages, whether known or unknown, foreseen or unforeseen.

AGREEMENT TO FOLLOW DIRECTIONS:
I agree that I and my child(ren) shall observe the rules that are in effect at each premise used for NEW SCOTLAND KIWANIS activities that have been implemented to reduce the likelihood of exposure and spread of COVID-19. I agree to check the specific rules for a location prior to participating in an NEW SCOTLAND KIWANIS activity. The COVID-19 protocols can be found on the NEW SCOTLAND KIWANIS BASEBALL and/or SOCCER website.

In addition, I agree, represent and warrant that neither I nor my child(ren) shall participate in NEW SCOTLAND KIWANIS activities within 14 days after (i) returning form highly impacted areas subject to a CDC Level 3 Travel Health Notice, (ii) exposure to any person who has a suspected or confirmed case of COVID-19, or (iii) exposure to any person who has a suspected or confirmed case of COVID-19. I agree to check the CDC Travel Notices list prior to participating in NEW SCOTLAND KIWANIS activities: (https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/travelers/index.html)

I hereby agree, represent and warrant that neither I nor my child(ren) shall participate in any NEW SCOTLAND KIWANIS activities if he or she (i) experiences symptoms of COVID-19, including, without limitation, fever, cough or shortness of breath, or (ii) has a suspected of diagnosed/confirmed case of COVID-19.

I agree to notify my/my child(ren's) team and NEW SCOTLAND KIWANIS if any of the foregoing participation restrictions apply.

CHOICE OF LAW:
I understand and agree the law of the State of New York will apply to this agreement.

This is to certify that I, as parent/guardian with legal responsibility for the named participant do consent and agree to his/her release as provided above of all the Releasees, and for myself, my heirs, assigns, and next of kin, I release and agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Releasees from any and all above liabilities incident to my minor child's participation in NEW SCOTLAND KIWANIS activities as provided above, EVEN IF ARISING FROM THE NEGLIGENCE OF THE RELEASEES, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Any information obtained from a background check will be used solely by the New Scotland Kiwanis Youth Sports Committee who will have the sole discretion to bar an individual not meeting standards from coaching New Scotland Kiwanis youth sports.
