| It looks like B North is doing fairly well, don't count Royals though..and Sputnik losing to Hazlet, no shame..Hazlet is top class.
Montgomery plays Middletown Inter this Saturday. If Middletown wins, we have to cheer for Cranbury, and we need to score some goals to get the edge in goal difference to advance.

| As Larry noted above
the group standings are determined by
1. Most Points (3 for win, 1 for tie, 0 for loss) 2. Head to Head Result (for all teams involved) 3. Best Goals Difference 4. Most Goals In Favor
the quarterfinals advancement is determined on:
All 6 teams finishing FIRST in their respective groups, shall advance to the "Over-30 League Cup Playoffs"
Two (2) BEST SECOND PLACE teams shall be picked out of all 6 second place teams of the Qualification round, to be included in the Quarterfinals.
The 2 BEST SECOND PLACE teams will be determined by calculating the following averages in the order given below:
1) Highest Points Average (Points/number of games played)
2) Lowest Goals Against Average (Goals against/number of games played)
A Random draw shall be used if teams are tied after the above criteria is applied.
In order to fairly evaluate the second place averages for those groups that only have 3 teams in it, each team in a group of only 3 teams, shall be awarded an administrative forfeit in their favor with a score of 1 - 0. This result will be used when determining the averages to determine the best second place teams.

| Indeed we did, indeed we did. Three cup games Seven points Two wins one tie Stingy defense and stellar goalkeeping (albeit with one brainlapse resulting in a penalty) with only two goals against We took advantage of who we had and used our squad as it was designed, filling in admirably and getting results, playing a solid div 1 team with few subs and few of the usual starters, repeat for game two and victimized by poor refereeing, to see the main portion of the starting 11 return (to come off the bench) and get the points and goals necessary to take the group. Three games, five goals, five diff scorers Sebo Roman Brian George Larry
Whatever happens now, we have pulled together as a team, managed to overcome a lifeless and lackluster first half performance vs montgomery that saw us down at the half(and we all know how we fare when were behind at the half), managed to overcome injury, vacations, and the occassional bickering due to playing time and chosen lineups. We are in the quarters And we have three games left in the league. Nothing is won-yet the last month has shown we can win as a team when all of us play as a team.
This could be the year of City!

| the dream is over...no treble, no double...
i wrote this after last week's win vs. montgomery..
We are in the quarters!
we were in the quarters. and now we're out.
as some of the boys from Somerset said, the score did nto reflect the game. we took many chances and never dented the net, while their 8 chances resulted in six goals.
we play as a team. we win as a team. we lose as a team. and we drink as a team.
let's get over it and move on to the final league games we'll be short of players the rest of the month, so let's do the best we can6 or 7 points could win us the league.
come on City!

| I know this may make some of you sick to your stomach, but CE defeated Middletown Inter 2 to 1 after being down a goal in the first 5 minutes. They play Hazlet Hoops, who are A division champions and who are in the Finals for the NJ State Cup 2009.
