| For the folk that are going and are staying I have booked a room in the travelodge Dumfries for £53.

I would suggest we do as per Stirling and pair up with somebody in the team.

| There are many B&B's that will cost you £25 a night within staggering distance from the town centre & rink.
The Travel Lodge & Premier Inn are a few miles outside town with feck all to do near them.
you will wait ages for a taxi in Dumfries on a Saturday night.
I will e-mail you some info over the weekend.

Most places in the town are about £30 B&B but they all have different policies for bookings/cancellations etc. You may find some for £20-25 a night so I would haggle with them all to get the best price, it's better if you have a lot of people staying there as you will have more scope to get the price down if you are booking a lot of rooms.
Some B&B's will not take 1 night bookings due to peak/high season and some will lower the price a bit if you take the 2 nights.
If guys don't mind sharing a double bed it will work out cheaper as you could get 3 people in a family room (that is a double and single bed) so the price per room drops.
Here are some places for you, the top 3 I called myself but haggle to get the best price from them all, if they want your business they will drop a few £s.
Can you also mention that the Blackhawks/host team put you onto them The nearest hotel to the ice rink and a 5 min walk to the town centre is –

It's a nice place with lots of parking, you can walk to the rink from here and easily walk back from the pubs/clubs.
They can do for 15 people = £450 (£30 each B&B per night)

| The Dalston is good and in a great location.
Park the car and then drink all weekend as the rink and pubs are easy walking distance.
It also has it's own residents bar.

| The Traveloge and the Dalston are now fully booked for the 22nd (Sat). I have booked a twin room for me and spags at The Aberdour Hotel (£65-split between 2)- 2 minute walk to the rink. It's just across the river!

| I've been trying to get Geo on his moble for the last two or three nights, but he is not answering. We'll just have to hopefor the best that he turns up.
In addition I phone Stacy tonight and I am meeting him for a skate at East Kilbride tomorrow. He indicated that Hecould maybe make the game on the Sunday and even the later games on the Saturday.
Also Phoned Drew. Spoke to his wife - He has a gig on on Saturday But his wife will get him to phone and let us know how he is place for some of the preliminary games.

| It was a great, well organised tournament in my favourite ice rink - Well done Brian! but the Panthers need to go back to the drawing board and work out a new stratagy. We didn't just get the Wooden Spoon, we got the bakin' bowl and the rest of the kitchen utensils as well.(suppose the bakin' bowl was handy for all you dipsos to throw up in today - Smithy, hows the dong - doin' a bit of scratchin' today!)

lighting ? - ? black bears. Cant mind the score black bears won tho think it was 3-1 or something like that.
