The plan (for me) is to pick Smithy & Donnie up in Paisley, then pick up Chris & Jordan on the way.

Hopefully Mullen or Phil can pick up Damien if he's going - I can take his kit bag if needed.

Is Ali playing?

Guys just a heads up for your game on Sunday, you may want to leave earlier due to roadworks, I know Ronnie has probably told you guys already but thought I would just mention it as I don't see any posts about it.

You don't want caught up in the Xmas shopping traffic - it's 10 weeks away until crimbo.

M8(E) & (W) J19 to J22, WEEKEND SURFACING WORKS

Resurfacing of the Eastbound and Westbound carriageways of the M8 between the Kingston Bridge and Plantation start on the evening of Friday 16th October and will stretch over 4 consecutive weekends with overnight works during Mondays to Fridays.

Although the works are being carried out mainly during weekend periods, associated weeknight working will also take place.

A 40mph speed limit will be in place for the duration of the works for the safety of both Roads Crews and Road Users.

Road users should expect delay, especially during peak periods, and should consider timing of journey, journey time and alternative modes of transport.

AND..........

Sunday 18th October 08:00hrs to 20:00hrs, all traffic will run in contraflow on the Northbound carriageway.

Sunday 18th October 20:00hrs, total closure overnight of A80 Northbound and Southbound carriageways

M80 STEPPS TO HAGGS UPGRADE

The upgrading of the existing A80 to new M80 from the Stepps area of Glasgow to the existing M80 at Junction 4 Haggs is now underway.
The carriageway build and re-align is expected to take two years and will complete the M80 route from Glasgow to Stirling.

The new M80 build will follow the line of the existing A80 from Mollinsburn to Haggs, with a new section constructed across greenfield space from the M80 (Glasgow) at Junction 3 Hornshill to Mollinsburn. A new Interchange will be constructed at Junction 3 Hornshill. This new section, when complete, will bypass Crowwood Roundabout, the length of the existing A80 from Crowwood to Mollinsburn and the villages of Muirhead and Moodiesburn.

A new and lowered speed limit of 40mph is now in place on the M80 between Junction 3 Hornshill and the A80 Crowwood Roundabout and on the A80 between Moodiesburn and the M80 Junction 4 Haggs. The existing speed limits on the A80 between Crowwood Roundabout and Moodiesburn are not affected. These restrictions will remain in place for the duration of the Project and are covered by a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order.

In relation to Brian's article, it might be better for those coming from Paisley area to go via East Kilbride!
