| The Edison By-laws state the following pertaining to pitching cards in the minor and major league boys:
Teams requiring pitching cards shall have them provided by the ECL. Pitching cards must be presented at each game and must be signed by the opposing manager at the time of the pitching change. If a team fails to present a pitching card, the game will be played under protest.
Pitching cards must be used. It does not matter if your scorebook has a section for a pitch count or not, you must use the pitching card provided by the league. Our pitching card takes into consideration the number of innings pitched by each pitcher used, the number of pitches thrown by each pitcher, as well as the age of each pitcher. Those who are not using the pitching card could forfeit a game if the card is not presented and signed by the opposing coaches if someone asks to see it.
The bottom line is that you should follow the rules of the league and not decide to do it your way. Your way could come back to bite you.
