Congratulations to the Sand Gnats for winning the Elk Grove 2012 champions. You had better sportsmanship and fans....I understand that when playing competitive sports people get carried away but the OWLZ coaching and fans were horrible and disrespectful....I hope that the board realizes how bad this season really was. You lecture the kids on playing sports with pride and humility...I think that you should practice what you preach....

Since the vice-president of the board was the Owlz coach, I think the board needs to take a hard look at itself. Maybe it's time the people at the top need to step down I agree, this was a very I sportsmanship like season!

I totally disagree. There is no advantage to someone having a team that is on the board. In fact it is more work and effort on them to insure the leagues success. If it was not for the leadership, commitment and efforts put on by the approximately 8-10 Managers that do not have a kid in the league then we would never have enough coaches/managers and the quality of leadership and training on baseball skills would be well below average compared to what someone Like a Rick Venegas brings to the table. So KUDOS to those without players that stay involved and share their baseball knowledge and skills to help prepare a team for a succesful season!

I'd like to ask how we were unsportsmanlike at all. Rick Venegas is a very competitive coach who knows his team. That game we were playing below our standard. I was the full time catcher for this game I remember the one throw I made that if it was not made would've allowed us to win the game. Rick Venegas was getting on all of us as a team because we were a more solid team than what we were showing on the field. But thanks for trying to go with everyone else who thinks Coach Rick, probably the best coach I've ever had in my Baseball career, is a jerk.
