| Despite what some people may think there is not open substitution in the ECL. In other words, you cannot take a player out of the game and put them back into the game in a different position in the batting order. The batting order can never be changed for any reason other than an injury after all subs have been put in. If one of those subs is the hurt player the original player must go back into that spot. You cannot move a player around in the batting order
Rule 9 Section J #1 of the boys PONY rule book says:
Any player in the starting lineup who has been removed for a substitute may re-enter the game one time. (NOTE: This rule applies to starters only)
Players shall return to the lineup in their original place in the batting order. While more than one substitute may be used in that position before the starting player is returned, no substitutions shall be made that shall alter the original batting rotation of any of the starting or substitute players
Rule 4 section 3c of the Girls PONY rule book Says:
Any player may be withdrawn from the game and re-entered once, provided such player occupies the same batting position whenever in the lineup

| This seems to be a rule that a lot of people do not know so I'm bumping it up so everyone can start the year off on the right foot.
