South Park Wins Big In Austin Berger's Debut
South Park defeated the Orioles in their home opener 11-1 this evening. Austin Berger was the winning pitcher in his Daily News League debut. Berger pitched 5 innings allowing 1 run on 4 hits, 2 walks and 3 strikeouts. Matt Mish came on in the 6th and recorded 2 K's for the victors. The South Park squad was led offensively by Dylan Pounds who went 3-4 with a single , double and triple and an RBI, along with scoring 3 times. Anthony Monaco and Dylan Kugler both recorded 2 hits and 1 and 2 RBI respectively. Chad Jacob also drove in 2 runs for South Park. The Orioles were led by Cameron Fine, who singled twice and Jake Hefner who tripled to drive in the lone run for the Orioles
