Matt Mish & Dylan Pounds Combine Shutout Pasquale's Pizzaria
South Park and Pasquale's Pizzaria locked horns tonight and played a game that wasn't decided until the final pitch. Through 3 innings there was no score as South Park's Matt Mish and the Blue Jays Danny Daley put up zero's. South Park got on the board in the top of the 4th with all they'd need as Anthony Monaco drew a one out walk and advanced to third on Ryan Dodson's 2 out single. Ben Nolan then hit a chopper between 3rd and short that reached the outfield and scored Monaco. In the bottom of the 5th Pasquale's had Mish on the ropes as he worked his way out of a one out bases loaded jam with a strike out and liner to left fielder Carter Grote to end the threat. Dylan Pounds relieved Mish in the 6th and had a 1-2-3 inning. In the top of the 7th South Park was able to plate a crucial insurance run. Ryan Dodson led off with his second single of the game and with one out Chad Jacob hit a double to deep center field to score Dodson from first to make it 2-0 South Park. In the bottom of the 7th after getting a strike out, Pounds walked Dayne Holland and with 2 outs Max Hegedus ripped a pitch off the right field wall, putting runners at 2nd and 3rd. Pounds escaped by getting the next batter to ground out to shortstop to secure the win and earn his league leading 3rd save of 2017
