Terriers Grabs Lead In Fifth Inning For Victory Over Toledo
Terriers took the lead late in the game in a 2-1 victory over Toledo Hawks on Saturday. The game was tied at one with Terriers batting in the bottom of the fifth when Andy Fletcher doubled off of Creek, driving in one run.
The pitching was strong on both sides. hurlers for Terriers struck out seven, while Toledo Hawks pitchers sat down seven.
Toledo Hawks captured the lead in the first inning. Toledo Hawks scored one run on a stolen base in the first inning.
Michael Seminatore earned the win for Terriers. He tossed five and a third innings, surrendering one run, three hits, and striking out three. Austin White recorded the last five outs to earn the save for Terriers. Schnitkey took the loss for Toledo Hawks. He pitched four innings, giving up zero runs, one hit, and striking out five.
Andy Fletcher and Luke Kail each drove in one run to lead Terriers. Terriers didn't commit a single error in the field. Dalton Davis had the most chances in the field with seven.
