Crum's Walkoff Gives Terriers Victory Over Toledo Hawks

A walk-off led Terriers past Toledo Hawks 14-13 on Sunday. The game was tied at 13 with Terriers batting in the bottom of the eighth when Garrett Crum hit a sacrifice fly to drive in a run.

Both offenses were strong at the plate as Terriers collected 15 hits and Toledo Hawks ten.

Toledo Hawks captured the lead in the first inning. Gulley homered on the first pitch of the at bat in the first inning, scoring three runs.
After Toledo Hawks scored one run in the top of the fifth, Terriers answered with one of their own. Toledo Hawks scored when Schneider singled off of Ty McKinney, driving in one run. Terriers then answered when Mitch Balla homered off of Corbin, driving in one run.

Terriers scored six runs in the second inning. Terriers's big inning was driven by a single by McKinney, a error, a single by Andy Fletcher, and a double by Garrett Crum.

Chad Matthus earned the win for Terriers. He tossed one inning, surrendering one run, zero hits, and walking zero. Ryan took the loss for Toledo Hawks. He threw two-thirds of an inning, allowing two runs, and one hit.

Fletcher started the game for Terriers. He pitched two-thirds of an inning, giving up six runs, and five hits. Rogge started the game for Toledo Hawks. He threw two innings, giving up six runs, six hits, striking out two, and walking one.

Home runs for Toledo Hawks came when Gulley homered in the first and third innings and Seymour homered in the first inning.

Crum, Fletcher, Matthus, and McKinney each collected multiple hits for Terriers. Crum went 3-for-5 at the plate to lead Terriers in hits.
Hunsberger, Schneider, and Gulley each collected multiple hits for Toledo Hawks.
