Toledo Hawks Capture Lead Early To Defeat Terriers

Terriers fell behind early and couldn't come back in an 8-3 loss to Toledo Hawks on Sunday. Toledo Hawks scored on a single by Noah Childress in the first inning, a single by Dippman in the second inning, and a single by Thomas Gulley in the second inning.

Toledo Hawks captured the lead in the first inning. With two outs in the first inning Noah Childress drove in one run when he singled.

Toledo Hawks took the lead for good with three runs in the second inning. In the second there was an error, scoring two runs and Thomas Gulley singled off of Max Adams, driving in one run.

Toledo Hawks scored four runs in the sixth inning. The big inning for Toledo Hawks came thanks to a single by Riggs and a passed ball.

Tyson Schnitkey earned the win for Toledo Hawks. He pitched four innings, allowing three runs, four hits, and striking out two. #35 recorded the last nine outs to earn the save for Toledo Hawks. Adams took the loss for Terriers. He tossed five innings, giving up four runs, six hits, and striking out three.

Andy Fletcher, Tom Eslich, and Shawn Baker each drove in one run to lead Terriers.

Toledo Hawks collected ten hits. Gulley, Riggs, and Dippman each collected multiple hits for Toledo Hawks. Toledo Hawks didn't commit a single error in the field. Scott Seymour had seven chances in the field, the most on the team.
