Terriers Win Back-And-Forth Affair Against Core Athletics!

Terriers took the lead for good in the fourth inning to capture a back-and-forth game from Core Athletics by a 15-5 score on Saturday. The game was tied at four with Terriers batting in the bottom of the fourth when Andy Fletcher doubled off of Chris Anastas, driving in one run.

Core Athletics scored three runs in the third inning, but Terriers still managed to pull out the victory. The big inning for Core Athletics came thanks to a single by Joey Luciana and a home run by Greg Yaksich.

Terriers captured the lead in the first inning. With zero outs in the first inning Dalton Davis drove in two runs when he singled.

Terriers scored seven runs in the fifth inning. Terriers's big inning was driven by a single by Andy Fletcher, a single by Chad Matthus, a single by Jared Houser, a walk by Davis, and a double by Will Haueter.

Core Athletics scored three runs in the third inning. Core Athletics's big inning was driven by a single by Luciana and a home run by Yaksich.

Max Adams earned the win for Terriers. He tossed four innings, giving up five runs, nine hits, striking out four, and walking one. Chris Anastas took the loss for Core Athletics. He threw four innings, giving up eight runs, seven hits, and striking out five.

Terriers collected 13 hits. Houser, Davis, Jon Conkle, Haueter, and Fletcher each collected multiple hits for Terriers. Fletcher, Haueter, Conkle, Davis, and Houser each collected two hits to lead Terriers.

Core Athletics had nine hits in the game. Jay Clinger and Chuck Scales each collected multiple hits for Core Athletics.
