Terriers Can't Climb Back From Early Deficit.

Terriers watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in an 8-4 loss to Golden Spikes Baseball on Wednesday. Golden Spikes Baseball scored on a single by Ron Krsoovic in the first inning, a single by Brett Davies in the first inning, a single by Carter Franklin in the second inning, and a double by Ethan Pawlak in the second inning.

Terriers lost despite out-hitting Golden Spikes Baseball 12 to 11.

Golden Spikes Baseball took an early lead in the first inning. Golden Spikes Baseball scored one run when Ron Krsoovic singled with one out in the first inning.

Josh Ferry earned the win for Golden Spikes Baseball. He tossed five innings, giving up three runs, eight hits, and walking one. Two relievers helped Golden Spikes Baseball close out the victory. Nick Mann threw two and a third innings. Jon Conkle took the loss for Terriers. He went three innings, allowing seven runs, nine hits, and striking out one.

Terriers had 12 hits in the game. Luke Kail, Conkle, Dominic Cistone, and Evan Maley each collected multiple hits for Terriers. Maley, Cistone, Conkle, and Kail all had two hits to lead Terriers.

Golden Spikes Baseball collected 11 hits. Matt Orloff, Krsoovic, and Mann each collected multiple hits for Golden Spikes Baseball.
