Sons of Italy lost a hard fought battle with Sokol in sudden death overtime. The Lions scored on an early penalty shot by Steve Rebizant, beating Sokol netminder Tony Lupinetti. Sokol answered later in the first half on a penalty shot by Herbert Blackwood, beating Sons of Italy netminder Sean Sylvestre. The teams went back and forth with several good scoring chances, but it would be Herbert Blackwood who would end this match with a goal early in the first overtime period. The Lions were extremely pleased with their three young juvenile call-ups who performed admirably throughout the close match.
