Sons of Italy (Team Manitoba) secured a 1-1 tie versus Ontario, in St. John's, Newfoundland. Ontario opened the scoring in the 39th minute on a penalty shot by Paulo Ferreira. Sons of Italy tied the game up with a goal in the 88th minute on a free kick from just outside the 18 yard box by veteran Tony Nocita. Sons of Italy goaltender Sean Sylvestre was once again strong in the nets for the Lions.
