The Sons of Italy Lions were 8-0 winners over Maples Juventus in MMSL Quarter-Final play. The Lions opened the match on a goal in the second minute by Sean Margison when he was sent in all alone by Eric Baranowksi. The Lions would add four more goals in first half action, with Margison adding three more, and Dave McPhail adding one. The Lions youth reserves were impressive during second half play. Matt Appler, Dominic Antonini, and Moreno Alberti, all members of the Northwest U18 Provincial Cup Champions for 2003, performed well during the final 45 minutes. Vince Ferlaino finished strongly during a goal mouth scramble and it was Alberti who would score twice in the second half to complete the match scoring. Sean Sylvestre recorded the shutout for the Lions.
