Kaliwete July 2, 2010 10:02:50 AM Entry ID: 1804658 | Week 5 Results –- BLAZERS 43, BUCKS 40 –- The Bucks looked to end their 4 game losing streak, but it would be a battle without Ninon. John battled his way to 15 points, and Vince chipped in with 13. The Blazers were energized by the return of Eph, and he delivered with 12 points. Andrew also had 12, but it was the defense anchored by Mon and Eddie that saved the day and secured the Blazers first win. –- HAWKS 61, MAGIC 44 –- Orlando looked to build on their win from last week, but just couldn’t get out of the gates. Joel managed 13 points on an off shooting night, and Randy powered his way to 11 points inside. The Hawks just had too much speed and hustle in this one. Edward had 11, Gilbert filled in nicely with 14, and Bogart was lights out again with 21 points, including 5 3-pointers, as the Hawks cruised to victory. -– PACERS 52, JAZZ 47 –- This one was the showdown everyone expected… and the game came down to the wire. The Jazz, who were without Ferdie, welcomed the return of Leo. Joel led the way with 19 and Merrick had 10 as the Jazz opened an early lead. But the Pacers scrapped back and controlled the pace the rest of the way. Arnel was a beast inside with 18 points, as he seemed to roll over any defenders in his path. Louie had 17, and Bong had 10 as both hit clutch shots down the stretch. Merrick had a chance to tie it with a 3 late in the game, but his shot rimmed out, and the Pacers secured the victory to remain unbeaten. |
Pacboy June 26, 2010 11:53:53 AM Entry ID: 1803155 | Pacers?? Undefeated? R U sure ? tinalo nila ang Jazz? aba pano ng yari yun? upset yun ? details please! |

Kaliwete June 19, 2010 3:10:58 PM Entry ID: 1801489 | Week 3 Results -- PACERS 73, BLAZERS 68 -- This game was a battle to the end. The Blazers benefitted from the return of Andrew Santos, who powered his way to 20 points. Their backcourt of Eddie and AJ combined for 37 points to lead the way. Despite an off night for Bong (5 points), the Pacer veterans secured the victory with steady play and timely rebounding. Arnel led the way with 22, Louie had 18, Beng 16, and Rommel 12. -- JAZZ 62, MAGIC 48 -- The Jazz once again proved why they are the class of the league. The Magic were energized by the season debut of Mark Diamante, who almost stole the game(literally) and led the way with 22 points. Phil was able to get hot from outside with 3 three pointers, on his way to 12 points, as the Magic were as close as 6 points late in the 2nd half. But the Jazz prevailed as their star backcourt of Merrick and Joel combined for 31 points to lead the way. The Jazz are almost impossible to defend, as everyone scored in this game! -- HAWKS 50, BUCKS 46 -- In the game of the night, and possibly upset of the night, the Hawks stole victory from the Bucks. The speedy backcourt of Nap, Carlos, and Edward applied pressure and created steals and 18 points. Edgar led scoring with 16, and defense and rebounding keyed the Hawks efforts. The Bucks were led by John's 24 and Ninon's 12, but they weren't able to rescue victory as they missed Jay's presence in the middle. Stay tuned for tonight's games! |

Kaliwete June 8, 2010 10:32:03 PM Entry ID: 1798117 | Week 2 Results -- HAWKS 60, BLAZERS 35 -- The Blazers were without their two top scoring threats, Andrew and Ephraim, and it showed as they struggle to score. The Hawks were energized by the season debuts of Carlos and Bogart. Bogart put his well rested shooting hand to good use and led the way with 25 points, including 5 threes! Hawks ran away with this one. -- JAZZ 50, BUCKS 39 -- The two top teams duked it out in this one. John led the Bucks with 16, and Vince chipped in with 14, as the Bucks trailed by just one point at halftime. But showtime prevailed as the Jazz were able to wear down the Bucks in the 2nd half. Joel V. led the way with 16, while Merrick and Ferdie chipped in 14 a piece for the Jazz, as their balanced attack proved to be too much for the Bucks in the end. -- PACERS 66, MAGIC 56 -- The Magic were energized by the returns of John S and Randy. Unfortunately, they got off to a slow start, as the Pacers ran out to an 11-0 lead to begin the game. Joel D. led the Magic with 16, Bert had 12, and John S. had 11, as they were able to match the Pacers the rest of the game. But the Pacers made sure there was no comeback in this one. Arnel led the Pacers with 17 as they controlled the boards, Beng controlled the pace and chipped in 16, and Bong dropped 4 3's in on his way to 14 points. That wraps up Week 2 action... We are still waiting for a few players to show up this season... Hope to see you there soon! |

Kaliwete June 1, 2010 2:27:28 PM Entry ID: 1795672 | Week 1 Results -- BUCKS 65, MAGIC 47 -- The Magic were without 3 starters, guards John S. and Mark, and center/captain Randy. Dirilo led the Magic with 15, and Erwin exploded for 13 points including 3 bombs from downtown. Turnovers led to too many fast breaks as the Bucks literally ran away with this one. The Bucks were without Alex and Napi, but Jojo filled in nicely with 12 points. Lazaro chipped in with a "quiet" 27. -- PACERS 44, HAWKS 33 -- The Hawks tried to run and pressure whenever possible to wear down the Pacers. Edgar led the way with 13 points, but they weren't able to run down the Pacers. Beng and Arnel led a balanced attack with 5 players scoring 6 points or more. Bong and Louie led the way with 12 points each. -- JAZZ 55, BLAZERS 42 -- Blazers were without top scorer Ephraim and one of their twin towers, Mon. Andrew led the way with 13, but it wasn't enough to stop 'all that Jazz'. Even without Leo and Joel E, the show must go on. It took awhile to get going, but showtime was in full effect. Joel V put on a first half display, and Merrick put on a second half display as the Jazz cruised to victory. There was oil on the ball and dancing on the court... we may just have to charge admission to see these guys next week. |
Utotero Gusto kong umutot pero di ko magawa May 28, 2010 3:46:59 PM Entry ID: 1794849 | Agree with Kaliwete... JAZZ will be the team to beat considering they have 5 solid players in every (kamasutra) position. Add the fact that one of their player is even more dangerous (literally and figuratively) if he don't wash his hands after doing change oil lol...The BUCKS are not so distant with JAZZ in terms of firepower. The PACERS can be considered as dark horse for this upcoming season. The rest of the teams need to double their effort to make their every game more interesting or competitive. Otherwise, they might just wait for the playoffs then hope and pray that they can snatch their game with any of the bigwigs. Just remember Letran last season! |

Kaliwete May 27, 2010 2:45:56 PM Entry ID: 1794507 | Yep, Season 10 is about to begin and the teams are looking tough. Here's a little team by team analysis: --HAWKS-- Led by Edgar, they have good team speed with Nap, Carlos, Edward outside to create some easy baskets. As mentioned, Bogart should be refreshed from his trip and ready to scorch the nets. IfEd D, Edgar, and Hector can seal off the boards, this could be a winner. --PACERS-- Led by Chef Arnel, fresh off his back to back championships, he will be the center of attention again. This season's recipe includes a veteran backcourt (Beng, Mike G, Louie), a deadly sniper (Bong), and some versatile bigs (Rommel and Brian). They look to have the right mix, and if they can control the pace, they can control their destiny. --BUCKS-- Led by scoring champ John L. Joy and Vince bring experience and outside shooting, while Alex, Napi and Jay bring toughness and rebouding to the mix. Ninon does a little bit of everything and can score in bunches, and that may prove to be the difference on most nights. --MAGIC-- Led by Randy and his solid inside game. Mark and John S. form a solid backcourt while Bert and Erwin help Randy seal the boards. If Joel D. and Phil get hot from the outside, this team could be dangerous. --BLAZERS-- Led by Andrew, still looking to get the monkey off his back. Eddie can drive & dish, Vince adds outside shooting, Yong and Bien are solid veterans that pick their spots, and Mon is a beast in the middle. The difference will be if Ephraim(aka Kobe) can score in bunches while still playing with the team. --JAZZ-- Led by Merrick, this is the most athletic team all around, and my pick for preseason favorite. Leo, Merrick, Ferdie, Joel V., and Howard and all versatile players than can play inside or outside. Roger and Joel E. are solid role players that do the dirty work and can hit the open shot. The only thing stopping these guys is a little too much showtime. --Let's have a good season guys!-- |
