As a baseball guy, I never want to see things play out to that extreme in a friendly game. Not that you need it from me, but I give you alot of credit for wanting to keep the game going even though the umps suggested an early exit - and still playing hard through the end. I hope there arent any hard feelings, and if there were any moves that you guys didnt appreciate, I hope you realize that nothing was ever intended to "show you guys up". Honestly, I think of it as more of an insult to go up there and play the game with no effort; so it was tough to figure out how to play it out the right way. (and thats with no disrespect intended towards you guys) Also, sorry to the 2 guys I beaned - the arm was a little too rusty after 2+ years of not pitching. Good luck with the rest of the season. |

Hardly anyone runs anyway, we only had like 29 attempted steals against us last year in 17 games. I think people might be scared to run on her, at least at first, I'd hate to come back to the dugout after getting gunned down. I'd never live that down. |

| Eric Rusie Indianapolis February 14, 2006 1:53:31 PM Entry ID: 771769 | I’m glad they added a 14th team to balance out the schedule, but getting that team from the draft as an expansion team hurts those people as well as the teams that needed to add numbers. I hope they can be competitive, the Astros, formerly the Orioles, are pretty competitive in only their fourth season. Maybe some more players will sign up between now and opening day. It was just crazy that only 14 people showed up as compared to at least 30 last year. I don’t know, hopefully any studs will find their way to the Bra-nkees, ha! |
