6th Annual "On The Field With The Aztecs"
The California Lookouts witnessed history on Friday, May 8th as All American pitcher Stephen Strasberg pitched a “no hitter” in blanking the Air Force Academy 5-0 in his final home start of the season. The sellout crowd at Tony Gwynn Stadium were favored with a near flawless performance by the projected number one pick in the upcoming Major League Baseball draft.
Lookouts players had the opportunity to meet both San Diego State and Air Force players during pregame warm-ups. Aztec Head Coach Tony Gwynn chatted with Lookouts Coach Fred Zarcilla, signed autographs and expressed his appreciation to our organization for our continued support of the Aztec baseball program.
During the National Anthem, Aztecs and Lookouts players, wearing their black/red attire, stood together proudly representing their teams and organizations well.

On Tuesday, May 16, 2006 the Lookouts 11U, 12U, 13U & 14U teams, along with parents and friends, gathered at Tony Gwynn Stadium on the San Diego State University campus to watch the SDSU Aztecs take on the nationally ranked #2 Cal State Fullerton Titans.

California Lookouts - "Field of Dreams"
On Saturday, February 5, 2005, the Lookouts 11U, 12U and 13U teams, along with parents and friends, gathered at Tony Gwynn Stadium on the San Diego State University campus to watch the San Diego State Aztecs play the nationally ranked #1 University of Texas Longhorns.
The Lookouts players were invited to "take the field" and join with the Aztec players during the National Anthem. The 11U and 12U Lookouts stood with the Aztecs at the various positions in the infield/outfield while the 13U Lookouts assembled on the third base line.
Before the festivities, the University of Texas pitching coach and former 17-year Major League Baseball pitcher Greg Swindell, spoke to the Lookouts and shared some words of wisdom.
In addition, prior to the opening pitch, Lookouts Coach Fred Zarcilla had the opportunity to talk with college friend, Aztec head baseball coach, and future Hall of Fame outfielder Tony Gwynn. Coach Gwynn stated he was extremely impressed by the Lookouts, and expressed his appreciation to the Lookouts for supporting the Aztec baseball program.
Although the Longhorns hooked the Aztecs on this sunny Saturday afternoon, a good time was had by all. It was great day to watch college baseball along with a memorable day for the Lookouts!
