Media Babe Ruth is a community baseball organization offering competitive baseball for players ages 13-18, and affiliated with Babe Ruth League. We are based in Media, PA, with facilities located at Springton Lake Middle School.

Player Eligibility

Media Babe Ruth’s territorial boundaries include residents of Media Borough, Middletown Township, Upper Providence, Rose Valley, and certain areas of Wallingford. It also includes students of the Rose Tree Media School District and other local schools, regardless of home address.

Competitive Divisions

Unlike many other leagues which group together 13-15 year old players, Meda Babe Ruth separates 13 year olds into their own division. This gives new players the opportunity to acclimate themselves to the larger 90-foot diamond without having to compete against older players already experienced on the full-sized field. We also offer a division for 14-15 year olds, and a senior division for 16-18 year olds.

Our Schedule

For our 13 year old and 14-15 divisions, a regular season consisting of approximately 15 games begins in early April, followed by post-season playoffs. Our teams compete in inter-league play with teams from Broomall-Newtown Babe Ruth. Games are played on Media Babe Ruth’s home fields at Springton Lake Middle School and Broomall-Newtown Babe Ruth‘s home fields, Thomas Field and Gable Field. The regular season and playoffs typically conclude by the end of June. We also field Babe Ruth District tournament teams at the 13 year old, 14 year old and 15 year old levels with tournament play typically extending into mid-July. Our 16-18 year teams compete in the EDCO league, with includes teams from throughout Delaware County.
