About Us
Subscribe to our NewsletterWe would like to answer a few questions that are frequently asked by parents about the wrestling club. We hope that we cover at least the basic questions by the list below.
What is the wrestling club?
It is an organization that is made up of parents and supporters of wrestling. It helps provide guidance on purchases made throughout the wrestling season, organizes volunteers to help run the invites, tournaments, & duals. They, also, provide basic information to the parents.
Am I a member of the wrestling club?
Yes, you are a member if you have a child in any of the wrestling programs or if you would just like to support the wrestling club as a whole.
Is there a fee to join?
No, there is no fee, just the time you volunteer to attend and help the club.
When does the wrestling club have the meetings and am I allowed to attend?
Meetings are held once a month at 6:30 in Coach Deprey's room at the HIgh School. Anyone is able to attend and we welcome the participation as it allows the club to valuable suggestions.
What do you do when you coordinate or volunteer to work the game?
Coordinator calls parents within their child’s age group (Varsity, JR Varsity, Middle School, & PAC), to work the game with them. Usually, around 12-15 people, & a list will be provide to you.
You need to be there 4-5 hours before the game to set up, which includes the following.
Setup involves putting up the gates, tables, warmers, and garbage barrels.
During the party we are required to make sure the condiment tables are clean, warmers are full, and that we don’t run out of beverages.
Cleanup we need to take everything that we setup back down.
What if I have tickets, but volunteer to help?
If you have tickets you are able to leave early and go to the game.
What are some items that have been purchased with the help of the Brett Favre Fundraiser?
The club was able to purchase a new mat and hoist for the mats so they don’t need to be carried to the wrestling room after each dual. They, also, purchased middle school warm up jackets, pace poster, pace apparel for recognition, and t-shirts for the high school.
Any participation in volunteering for The Bar Fundraiser is greatly appreciated as it has helped purchase a lot of our BIG items.
