| Buy, buy, buy! -- At one point this season, we won 4 of 5 games, and are still very much in this race! We should definitely make a run at a Jay Bruce-type; maybe some aging power-hitter from the Fighting Plankton, now that they're routinely beatable (yeah, I said it).

| Stand pat -- What with Nancy & D's children, Jocelyn's girls, Chris & Lauren's granddaughter, etc., our minor league system is looking strong. ESPN's Keith Law even ranked ours the #2 farm system in the Greater Hartford Independent Softball League (yeah, of course the Capital Stars were #1). Do not mortgage the future of the Empty Pitchers to win today! |
