A bit about us:
In October 2007, The Canadian Radio- Television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) approved our application to establish Bolton's first local FM radio station.
CJFB FM (B105) broadcasts on 105.5FM at a power of 50 watts. It airs a mix of easy listening, adult contemporary and pop music, with emphasis on local and Canadian artists. It also broadcasts news, sports, and local weather and traffic. All local musicians and groups are encouraged to submit their material for consideration for airplay.
CFGM FM Licensed originally in 2007, the station serves northeast Caledon on 102.7FM and originally reatured an tourist information format, broadcasting a loop of regularly updated local information, local events and more.
On June 17, 2009, Radio Caledon Inc. received official notification from the CRTC that we have been approved for a new format to replace the pre-recorded tourist information format currently running on 102.7FM.
An important feature of this license—and something that will make it very unique - is that we will be devoting a significant portion of our musical selections to local and Canadian artists over the broadcast week. And of course, we are now be able to offer live programming as well, which truly transforms the service we are able to provide to our listeners.
The REGIONAL
On May 1, 2010, Caledon Media launched The Regional - a print, monthly publication that will also be available for reading online. This Regional, which is delivered by Canada Post to 30 000 homes & businesses in Caledon and Orangeville will be linked to an email notifier and will also benefit from promotion on our radio stations and our supporting websites.
The Regional contains news & articles pertaining to local business, sports and recreation, entertainment, & daily life in Caledon, Nobleton, Orangeville and north Brampton. This monthly newspaper is an unbeatable value when it comes to getting your business promoted to those who make the purchasing decisions in Caledon & the surrounding area. -
