A red card will result in the immediate ejection of the player and an automatic suspension from all AYSO Adult Soccer League (AASL) games until after the next game in the competition the card was given. The suspension is in effect for every division and every competition the player participates in. The player may not participate in any other AASL game until after the suspension has been served.
For example: A player receives a red card at 8:30 AM on Sunday in the O-50 division. The player is therefore suspended from playing later in the morning in the O-40 division, he is suspended from playing on AASL games on Tuesday evening and Friday evening and he is suspended from playing in the O-50 game next /Sunday morning. After this game is completed, the player has served his suspension since he received the red card in this division and did not play. Therefore the player may play in any other competition that follows such as the O-40 division later in the morning.
Red cards received for fighting carry an automatic mandatory three competition game suspension. A disciplinary committee composed of three impartial Board of Directors members may review the circumstances and extend the suspension as appropriate.
