Brian Stimpson, Head Coach (Varsity)

Brian Stimpson enters his first year as Varsity Head Coach for the Spring 2019 season and has been on Westview High School (WHS) baseball coaching staff since 2007. Stimpson served as an assistant varsity coach from 2007 at WHS, the junior varsity head coach at WHS in 2006, an assistant varsity coach at Clairemont High School in 2005, and head freshmen coach at WHS in 2003 and 2004.


Stimpson graduated from Mt. Carmel High School in 1998.  As team captain his senior season at MCHS, Stimpson was Honorable Mention All-Palomar League and played in the Palomar/Avocado League All-Star Game.  After high school, he attended California Lutheran University where he was a member of the Division III College World Series 3rd place team his freshman year.  While at Cal Lutheran, he was on three consecutive SCIAC Championship teams and was voted team captain his senior season.  The Kingsmen finished 30-10 during his senior season.

Additionally, he was the head coach of the Scripps Ranch Falcons from 2003-2006.  During his tenure, his teams placed 1st or 2nd in 11 tournaments, including a Championship victory at the TCS Fall Nationals in 2004 and a second place finish at the TCS World Series in 2005.  He is currently in his fourth full year coaching with the California Lookouts Foundation.  He manages the 14U Lookouts during the Fall and Spring and the 18U Lookouts during the Summer.  

Stimpson has a B.A. in Social Science from Cal Lutheran University, teaching credentials in Social Science and Special Education from Chapman University and a Masters Degree in Special Education.  He currently teaches at Westview High School and lives in Rancho Penasquitos.
