Concussion Training


Every coach in the league must complete a free on-line concussion class.   

 

To take the course please click on this link 

 

When the coach has completed the course, he/she will be able to print the certificate that shows they have completed it.  

 

ALL TOWN LEAGUE DIRECTORS should receive a copy of the certificate from each coach to be kept on file.

Coaching certification

US Lacrosse Level 1 certification introduces the game by providing the tools to teach the
rules, basic individual skills, and team concepts to players of all ages. 
 
Level 1 is designed to introduce coaches to the responsibilities and philosophies of coaching
and how to provide a safe and athlete-centered environment that emphasizes positive growth
and sportsmanship. The Level 1 curriculum provides the tools to teach rules, basic individual
skills, and basic team concepts to beginning players of all ages. This baseline training is
relevant for all lacrosse coaches, regardless of experience.
 
Level certification requires the following commitments/course work  :
 
NCSI background check
Level 1 online course
Level 1 instructional clinic (live training)
PCA Double-Goal Coach 1 online course
How to Make Proper Contact online course

CEP Level 1 Instructional Clinics - links to the scehduled 2016 CEP Level 1 Instructional
Clinics. These classes target coaches of beginning players of any age and
emphasize the fundamentals of lacrosse. These clinics deliver hands-on instruction facilitated by US
Lacrosse  certified trainers. Clinics are approximately 7 hours long and are required for Level 1
coaching certification.
