MANDATORY ABUSE AWARENESS TRAINING

As we continue to adapt the Little League Child Protection Program, ALL Little League volunteers must also complete required adult abuse awareness training prior to assuming any Little League duties for the 2025 season. This training provides a resource to create a positive and safe environment for all athletes, coaches, parents, legal guardians, and umpires by understanding how to recognize misconduct and abuse of all types.

USA Baseball provides a free online abuse awareness training titled Abused Awareness for Adults. It is the responsibility of each local league to ensure that the volunteers in the league complete this training on an annual basis. Local leagues can access the training completion status of their volunteers.

AED/CPR TRAINING

At least 2 coaches from each team must be certified in CPR/AED training.

The NYC Parks Department offers free AED/CPR training. Register early as training sessions fill quickly and it takes about 3 weeks for you to receive your certification.
