Lazers Swim Team Practice Requirements:
Swimmers are expected to attend practice in order to swim in meets. We recognize there can be conflicts due to vacations and camp attendance; please communicate such conflicts to the team president and head coach to determine meet eligibility.
Swimmers are placed in practice groups based on their abilities and needs, not their ages. Morning practices are broken into three groups. Swimmers are expected to arrive ten minutes prior to their assigned group.
Parents and Spectators must stay off the pool deck. You may sit behind the trees at the shallow end of the pool. If you have questions for the coaches, please do not go on the deck during practice as this takes away from their coaching. Please wait until after practice to speak with the coaches.
Club Long Course Practice Requirements:
Swimmers who are practicing with other club teams for long course practice are welcome to join the team, but as members of the Lazers, you are expected to attend a minimum of two practices a week to be considered an active team member and eligible to participate in swim meets. We require that you build your schedule to attend practice in your assigned practice group twice a week throughout our season.
High School swimmers who have completed eighth grade through twelfth grade and are practicing long course are highly encouraged to attend one practice per week.
Those swimmers who plan to practice long course during the Lazers Swim Team summer season must notify the team board prior to the beginning of the season.
Missing Meet Sign Out:
The missing meet book has been switched to the TeamSnap app. Swimmers must indicate on the app if your swimmer will be missing a meet. If a swimmer does not show up for a meet and has not signed out as unavailable, they will not be eligible to participate in the next meet. The coaches start the lineups a few days prior to the meet; please give them as much notice as possible.
