For those of you who are interested in the history of the Suffern crew trailer, let us tell you how great a goal the Suffern Crew trailer has been. For the first 3 years of Suffern Crew’s existence, we eyed other teams’ customized food trailers, taking notes and making wish lists. Through successful fundraising and some facilitation from Highlands Rowing, the Booster Club acquired a new trailer last spring, and Chuck Lockyer, with the able help of Al Sofen, spent the next several months tricking it out to meet the team’s needs. A huge thanks is due to Chuck for all the time and expertise required to make this dream come true for Suffern Crew. Many teams call their trailers “The Chuck Wagon,” and we probably should, too! The trailer is amazing inside and out. Thank Chuck when you see him!

Al Sofen not only helped with the trailer but, along with our procurement expert John Martin, spearheaded the acquisition of the new 10 x 20 logo’d tent. In 2015 John Martin helped the Booster Club acquire a 2nd tent. The tents are beautiful. Also, there we now have four  “insta benches,” so the kids don’t always have to sit on the cold hard tarp…
