Travel Basketball:

Our Travel Basketball teams require a competitive try-out process open to all players within each team’s age and gender for players ages 8-13. Registration for Intramural basketball is required to try-out for travel teams but players chosen for UM Hoops Travel teams do not play as part of our intramural program.

Travel basketball is a grand commitment that each family should think about and be fully aware of before embarking on this journey. Upper Moreland Hoops Travel Basketball Teams play as part of the Inter-County Basketball Association (ICBA: http://www.icbabasketball.com) which spans much of southeastern Pennsylvania, as well as various local competitive tournaments as determined by each travel coach and the Upper Moreland Hoops Board of Directors.

It is expected that all players and families will be committed to the goals of improving as a team, supporting continued growth and producing a winning basketball product during their participation with our Travel Basketball Program. It should also be understood that travel basketball does include some additional costs as well as some longer distance travel away from Upper Moreland for several games during the basketball season and year (both of which are explained during the tryout process).
