Boys In-house evaluations begin November 1st

Cost:   $125.00 per Player (Raffle calendars provided as fundraiser to offset your cost)
Family Cap – There is a 2 player cap per household ($250 + any applicable travel fees) 

Registration ends November 12th  for grades 1st-8th and Dec 10th for HS. See dates above so you don't miss you evaluation or draft.  Any late registration will carry a $10.00 late fee & players will be placed on a waiting list
All age groupings/leagues are pending the number of registrants, volunteers, and gym space.  Players will be registered by grade. A copy of a Birth Certificate is REQUIRED for New Players.

Our Travel Basketball teams require a competitive try-out process open to all players within each team’s age and gender for players grades 4,5,6,7,and 8th. Players chosen for UM Hoops Travel teams do not play as part of our intramural program.  Players not chosen to be a part of the travel team are automatically placed into their appropriate grade intramural leagues. Travel basketball is a grand commitment that each family should think about and be fully aware of before embarking on this journey.

Upper Moreland Hoops is a non-profit basketball organization serving boys & girls from 6-18 years of age, in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. Our goal is to provide the children of this community the opportunity to play basketball in a positive, competitive, inclusive, and family oriented environment. While we stress the development of individual basketball skills, we also strongly encourage team work, leadership skills and good values.

Upper Moreland Hoops offers both Intramural & Travel basketball programs for both boys & girls each year.  Our goal is simple: increase each player's skill, ability and love for the game of basketball!

UM Hoops again celebrated the start to another Travel and Intramural season...

 The 2015-2016 season started off with a bang December 19th at Upper Moreland High School as a full arena enjoyed a celebration of UM Hoops, Players and all the families & sponsors that support UM Hoops...courtesy of the World Famous Harlem Wizards! 

UM Hoops also took time to again celebrate our Career Players...Players who have played every season starting in 1st grade and through 8th grade! These players continue to be ambassadors for the UM Hoops program...

UM Hoops Jr. Official Program

Earn money while learning to be a basketball official

The Upper Moreland Hoops organization would like to introduce the Jr. Basketball officials program. This is an opportunity for our students to get involved with officiating basketball. 

Requirements:

-          Must be 15-18 years old and a current Upper Moreland School student

-          Must be in good academic standings by meeting the PIAA academic eligibility requirements

-          Must attend pre-season officiating clinic(s)

-          Must work the game clock and/or score book for a 1 week time period before you can work a game

What will UM Hoops do for you:

-          You will receive $10 per game officiated with a maximum of 3 games per day (most games are Saturdays beginning in January)

-      We will schedule around your UM Hoops league and any work or school schedule you have

-          If you are 18 years old and want to peruse the PIAA exam, UM Hoops will pay your exam fee after completing this program and prior to January 2017

-          You will be paired with a certified PIAA Basketball official for all games
