PAT & DUANE ILLIES INDUCTED INTO HALL OF FAME
(ANGIE, RYAN, JEANNE, LUKE, MIKE, GRACE, ABBY & PAT ILLIES)
ELROSA--Pat and the late Duane Illies were inducted into the Elrosa Saints Hall of Fame on Friday night. Duane played ball for the Saints for a number of years and was instrumental into building the Little League program. Duane coached the youth teams that Mike and Pat played on for over 14 years and helped establish the roots of the program.
Pat played for almost 30 years and holds just about every offensive statistical record possible. He rewrote the Elrosa franchise record book which includes the following: . 544 average, 1.241 slugging percentage, .640 on base percentage, 433 hits, 96 doubles, 20 triples, 66 home runs, 316 runs, 361 RBIs, 115 steals, 193 walks, and 225 games won in 17 years as a manager including 7 State tournament trips. What is even more impressvie is that Pat leads just about every statistical category but is still missing 7 years of stats that were lost over the years.
Congratulations to Duane & Pat and welcome to the Hall of Fame!

HAIDERS INDUCTED INTO HALL OF FAME
(Gregg, Ken, Keith, & Vince Haider)
ELROSA--Gregg, Ken, and Keith Haider were inducted into the Elrosa Saints Hall of Fame Friday night in Elrosa before an electric crowd that watched the Saints defeat St. Martin in extra innings. The contest was a back and forth affair that saw the Saints take an early 3-0 lead behind a two run homerun from Jackson Peter. The Martins answered with four runs of their own to take back the lead at 4-3 before Elrosa rallied with three runs to gain the 6-4 advantage. St. Martin tied the game in the final frame to push the game to extras before Elrosa scored on a throwing error in the 10th inning to earn the victory.
The highlight of the evening was the pregame ceremony showcasing the many sacrifices and volunteer hours the Haider boys put into the ballclub. They were integral pieces to securing the lights while also lighting up the scoreboard on Sunday afternoons. While all three brothers rank high in numerous statistical categories, the most unique number is that all three brothers once hit a homerun in the same game at Farming! Thank you Haider family for your many contributions to the ballclub and welcome to the Hall of Fame!
