ELROSA--The Elrosa Saints Legion baseball team captured the Stearns County League Big Dipper Championship Tuesday night in Lake Henry with a convincing 11-1 victory over the Lakers. The final result didn't reflect how close the game actually was. Both teams got great pitching efforts which saw the Saints earn a 2-0 lead as they took advantage of walks and errors. Neither team had a hit though until the seventh inning when Elrosa exploded for nine runs. Ashton Dingmann struck out ten batters in a complete game effort while only allowing one hit. The team was coached by current Saints player Wyatt Steffenson. A core of the team has made major contributions to the amateur team this summer as they look to start the Region 15C tourney Saturday afternoon in Meire Grove. Thank you players, parents, fans, and coaches. The future continues to look bright for Elrosa Saints baseball!
