Halifax Girls Basketball League

The HGBL 2011 End of Season Awards Banquet was held at the Silver Lake High School Cafeteria. Girls Varsity Basketball Coach Dick Steele spoke to the players and their families. Also speaking were Varsity Captains Nicole Conboy, Ashley Bartlett and Courtney Yost, all of who began their basketball careers in the Halifax Girls program.

HGBL'S 2nd Annual "Rock & Bowl" Fundraiser was a BIG success again this year. 68 HGBL players, along with friends and family turned out at the Ally-Cat Lanes in Kingston to support our program. Thanks to R&B Coordinator Mary Gravinese and all the other parents who helped out. Also, congrats to coach Ken Nelson, winner of the Bruins tickets raffle !

During school break, the Halifax 7th & 8th and Kingston 7th & 8th Travel teams met on Thursday night at the HES gym for a night of scrimmages & pizza. Some great Basketball was on display by these Silver Lake classmates and future SL Hoop teammates !!
