Halifax Girls Basketball League

Congrtulations to the Halifax Girls 6th Grade Travel Team for winning the 2016 KSC Summer League Championship.

This is a remarkable achievement for a team that did not play in 4th grade travel league. Looking forward to see how tey compete this year in the South Shore Girls Basketball League.

Congratulations to the Halifax/Plympton 5th Grade Girls Travel team for winning the South Shore Girls Travel League and for also winning the Championship.  The team earned a first round bye for taking first place in their division and played Abington on Saturday. Abington was coming off a win against Hanson the night before. The team trailed early but came back with outstanding defense to win 25-19, earning them a spot in the championship game in Duxbury on Sunday.

On Sunday, they faced a tough Rockland team that had knocked off the 2 seed on Saturday.  They beat Rockland 26-23 to take home the championship.

Congratulations to the coaches and players on a terrific season!

This is a remarkable achievement for a team that was just formed and hasn't played together before.  Looking forward to see how they compete this year in the Winter Basketball League.

Also, congratulations to our 8th Grade Travel Team for making it to the Jamboree championship game!

Overall a strong showing by Halifax in the tournament!
