WALK TO END ALZHEIMER'S

Our Cheerleading team did a great job supporting the thousands of walkers in the 2019 Walk to End Alzheimer's at Citizen's Bank Park in Philadelphia.   Immediately following the Walk, we received this email message, which truly is a testament to our commitment to community service . . .

Dear Coach Lucente,

Today, my older sisters, Karen and Marianne, and I (all Penncrest alumni) participated in the Philadelphia Walk to End Alzheimers' in memory of our mother, Bernadette Adack.  We wanted to thank the cheerleaders who got up early and spent their Sunday morning cheering the walkers along the route.  Of all the schools in the Philadelphia area that could have come out to support this event, it was special for us to see our Alma Mater represented.  Great job!  I'm sure our mom would have been proud to see them as well - all 6 of her children are Penncrest graduates!

 PHS CHEER HELPS TACKLE HUNGER

Thanks to everyone who helped PHS Cheer Tackle Hunger. Together with the football team and the marching band, we collected 1,500 pounds of non-perishable food items which were donated to the Media Food Bank. Not only did we fill the "Care-a-Van," but we filled a second van, too.
