#35, Howard Hagen

Coach Hagen begins his 33rd year coaching baseball and 27th year at the Helm of the Bankers Baseball Club. Hagen grew up in the Ballard area of Seattle and played organized Baseball from age 8 thru College with his highlight being selected to the Babe Ruth All Star Team and winning the State Tournament at Sick's Seattle Stadium and advancing to Regionals by train to Glendive, Montana and finishing second in the World Series in St Paul, Minnesota.  Hagen was a three year starter at third base at Ballard High School and played at both Everett CC and UW before turning his attention to studies and obtaining a Business Degree from Seattle Pacific University.
 
Hagen accepted a Head Coaching position in 1977 at the 12 & Under Level in order to Coach his oldest son Scott and teach the game he loved so much.  The next year Jeff, his other son was old enough to play and joined Dad on the team.  Hagen coached at that level thru 1983 coaching All Stars and having a great time, but also developing a deeper hunger for the game of baseball.  Therefore, in 1984 Hagen started the Bankers Baseball Club with the goal of being a Premier Club and since that time has not looked back with 10 Connie Mack State Championships, a trip to the Connie Mack World Series and 5 FIRST ROUND DRAFT SELECTIONS.  Hagen is active attending coaching clinics and served as a Volunteer to Bill Stubbs at Edmonds Community College where Bill served as a Baseball mentor. In 1990 Hagen was an Associate Coach at Edmonds CC.  Hagen was also an Associate Scout for the Kansas City Royals.
 
Hagen is married to Gigi who is very active with the Bankers serving as our webmaster.The Hagen's have 4 children - Scott, Jeff, Nicki, and Ben.  They are also a very proud grandparents of Mandi, who is the daughter of Jeff and Libby. Mandi attends Snohomish High SChool and is an outstanding singer and Fastpitch Pitcher. Howard is a retired Vice-President from US Bank when he worked for neary 40 years and Gigi is currently employed as a Region Program Manager for Wells Fargo Bank. They live in Bothell. 

# 45 Ray Moody

 

In 2010, Moody enters his 13th year on the Bankers staff and is responsible for outfielder's instruction and first base coaching.

Moody is a 1964 graduate of Bullard High School of Fresno, California, where he earned letters in baseball and football. Later he played baseball at Fresno State. His education was interrupted with the Vietnam War, where he served as a Navy medic for two years. He went on to earn his BA at the University of Washington.

Moody, now retired, served as a Seattle Fire Department paramedic for 23 years. He is the executive pastor at Northwest Community Church of Bothell, where he oversees the administration and daily church activities. He has coached High School varsity football at Inglemoor for the last 25 years, and also coaches baseball at Bothell High School.  Moody spent six years at Northshore Junior High coaching the same sports. He is also an instructor/trainer for the American Heart Association.

Ray was born in Kirkland. Sharon, his wife of 39 years, is a staff member at Northwest Community Church. He has two children, daughter Shawn, 34, a fourth-grade teacher in the Federal Way School District, and son Michael, 30, an engineer and two granddaughters, Mikaela and Julianna who are the loves of his life.  Both of his children were college scholarship soccer athletes. Shawn earned a national championship ring in 1991 and Michael was selected soccer scholar all-American in 1997
