January 13, 2020

** WE WILL BE ACCEPTING NOMINATIONS AND CONDUCTING ELECTIONS FOR ALL LEAGUE POSITIONS FOR THE 2020 SEASON, BEGINNING WITH THE MONDAY 1/13 MEETING

League Positions

BOARD POSITIONS:

President: Leads the direction for the organization, oversees all of the positions, and ensures that duties/tasks that are needed to run the league are being performed, etc.

VP:  Work with the president and board as a second person leading direction, etc.

Treasurer:  Responsible for finances of the league for both the regular and tournament season, budget, paying for charter, insurance, etc.  Will need to be comfortable with computers, because a lot of payments are now paid online, etc.

Secretary:  Schedules and takes minutes for meetings, helps with documents that need to be posted on the website, etc.  Work closely with communications coordinator and the rest of the board. Also may be responsible for regular season registration and all-star registrations.

COORDINATOR POSITIONS

Regular Season Playoffs Coordinator:  This person will help coordinate playoffs by setting up brackets and working with the towns to determine locations for games.  This person will work closely with the town softball coordinators and the league’s umpire coordinator.

Tournament Coordinator for Lamprey River Tournament: Responsible for working with the board to help find teams to play in the tournaments (usually not a problem since we have returning teams every year), coordinate fields, pick out trophies, and obtain volunteers to help with running the tournaments (field crews, concessions, etc.)

Communications and Website Coordinator: This person should be comfortable with computers, social media, and not afraid to learn how to use various programs such as Google drive and other google products,  League Line Up, Sports Illustrated Play, Babe Ruth Online, and other online sites the league uses.

Clinics Coordinator:  Some of the towns have been scheduling their own clinics, etc.  The league needs to do a better job of finding or creating clinics for the entire league.  Pitching clinics and finding coaches to give lessons is a necessity to keep our program growing.

Regular Season Games Scheduler:  This person uses a computer application to build the schedules for the regular season. (Barbara from Auburn has been doing a great job, so as long as she can stay on this position may be filled).

Fundraising Coordinator:  Says it all
