Important Reminder - Please remember that Pittstown FC is a NO SLIDE league (see League Rules section 2.1). The way we interpret this is that a field player should never intentionally go to ground even if another player is not nearby. Violation of this rule...

• in the vicinity of an opponent is considered unsporting behavior by Pittstown FC, is therefore a cautionable offense and results in the player receiving a mandatory yellow card (5 minute penalty sit) and an indirect free kick is awarded to the opposition.
• with no opponent nearby results in an indirect free kick awarded to the opposition (no yellow card).
  
• Goalkeepers, when inside their 18 yard box, are exempted from the rule. When outside their 18 yard box, they are in effect field players and therefore the rule applies.
