Step 1: Fill out and submit the Coach Application on the UYF home page  

Step 2: Complete the National Background Check (Link Below) Cost is $19.95

Coach applications will not be processed until the background has been completed.

UYF requires that each coach applicant complete a background check every other year, and submit that they have not been charged with any crime since their background check was previously submitted. Any misleading information received from an applicant will automatically show cause for the application to disqualified.

Step 3: Attend Your Scheduled Interview

A League Representative will contact you between May & June to set an interview time. The interview will be announced

Step 4: Complete the Heads Up Course (Link Below)

Heads up training certificates must be renewed every year and submitted to the board of directors at the coaching clinic. Date and time to be announced

Step 5: Attend the Mandatory Coaching Clinic

The Coaching Clinic is schedule will be announced. It will be longer and more in depth than previous years due to many new changes in the league. We want to ensure a better experience for all Coaches, Players, and Parents.

Step 6: Equipment Handouts 

Each coach is required to attend at least (1) equipment hand-out session.

Step 7: Attend the Skills Challenge

Coaches will have the opportunity to evaluate most registered players in no-contact athletic drills. This will help coaches to better structure their teams. 

Step 8: Attend the Draft

The Official Draft will be held in July. Date and time to be announced. Please review the "Draft Procedure" prior to the draft. It is a serpentine draft and it moves quickly.
