Business arising from the minutes of last meeting:
In the area with regards to “no recognition for years” should have read, will there be recognition for upcoming years for awards – to be discussed
Treasurers Report:
A deposit of $1200.00 has been made for team bonds and deposit for league fees
Perry's still owes $200.00 and O'Neill owes $100.00 as of today.
2019 costs not completed due to tax season for Deb P.
Other Business:
Saturday tournament diamonds will each cost $52.00, Friday night will cost $47.00. Colleen to add up the numbers and send out – should still be under $1000.00
Should be cheaper due to one less team in the league. There was no interest form other leagues to come and join the Masters.
Rules
Rule #2 – add the minimum number of players to begin a game.
Rule #3 – mercy/rain out must be 6 or 5 ½ innings played constitutes a game, “when home team is ahead” must be added
Rule #8(b) – another contact – add Ann Laprise as well

Saturday Master's tournament to begin at 9:30 am, next game at 10:45 break for lunch from 12:00 to 1:00 pm. Finals to begin at 1:00 or 1:30 pm.

Rosters:
Dual Players – Perry's, Danny's and ADS have the same dual players as last year.
O'Neill's are adding Shannon Long as a new dual player
PIB has one, may pick up another player due to injury of players

Rubber mats at the pitcher's mound are being removed and replaced by “feathers” Turner park is the only exception.
Another green of fencing is going the 1st base line for players to be able to see the ball at Percy Park, making it easier for fielders to see the ball.
Two more Saturday's for bat testing.
Discussion of awards for next meeting. To track or not track? Score sheets. Pick for own team or awards MVP, MSP and Pitcher of the game (by home team)
Next meeting date 3rd week in April. April 16/19 at Holiday Inn at 6 pm.

Business arising from the minutes of last meeting:
Diane Brecht will be chairperson for Perry Refrigeration and Marlene Atkinson will be Alternate
Ann Laprise will be chairperson for O'Neil Tire and Collette O'Neil will be Alternate
O'Neil Tire will not be fined as they did not receive the email regarding the meeting.
Other Business:
Deb Parker did online bank account with RBC. Deb Parker and Colleen Chepeka will be on the account for signing privileges.
The old bank account of MCLSP will be closed.

Motion:
motion was put on the floor by Deb V. to have 11(a) {to be eligible to play in the playoffs a player must have played five(5) games of the regular season (consisting of playing at least two (2) innings per game). If a team protests a player that has not fulfilled these eligibility requirements, said team representative is responsible for gather the information, no the other team or the executive. Should a formal protest be filed, the team involved will be required to provide proof of all games played by the accused player} be removed from the rules.

Rule 11(a) will remain as written.
2. All reference to Diamond Division will be removed from the rules.

4. Rule addition to be made : Each team must have a minimum of nine(9) players to begin a game and
not have more than ten (10) players on the field
5. In addition to Rule #1 all games played outside the city of Chatham will begin at 6:30 pm.
6. Rule #10 All team players/coaches on the field must have team uniforms/shirts with the team logo visible on it.
7. Rule # 13 to change the fine amount from $20.00 to $10.00 when team chairperson/representative for a missed meeting.
8. Rule #15 tentative rosters will be made available as soon as possible this year.
9. Dual Players will remain as last year.
New Business:
The MVP, MSP, and Pitcher awards
no recognition for years......... discussion on how to move forward with these awards since the split of the divisions.
Motion : To table this subject until the next meeting.
Rain-outs: Deb Stephenson has volunteered to do the rain-outs for 2019 season.
Fireside and Home will not be returning this year as they only have 7 players interested in returning to play.
Courtney from Gilanders stated their team will be interested in joining the league. This will make 6 teams again.
Midas name has changed and will now be known as Danny's
Colleen to update on the schedule.
Costs this year: Please see fee cost for 2018 & 2018 handout at meeting to review all costs.

The Saturday last year cost $51.87 will increase this year . The final game had 2 umpires.

Colleen will send out all dates via email. Please let her know if you can volunteer.
Website: Ann Laprise is going to update the original site. Please forward any pictures and or information to Ann to post on the site. Ann shared link and new look of the website at the meeting.
Players of teams that are left from Fireside and Home that want to play the Masters teams will include these players on their rosters .

Motion: Masters division agrees to release the funds of $813.00 back to Amie A. as proof of the withdrawal and deposit were made by the documents provided. All these documents will now be destroyed.

Other Business:
Bonds of $100.00 (as per MCSP bylaws {2(F) ii}) need to be collected from each team as bonds are used for fines for the year. Also for next meeting each team must have their $200.00 deposit for league fees.
Deb Parker (Treasurer) will acquire new receipt books.
A new bank account will be established with more convenient access.
O'Neill will be fined $10.00 for missing tonight's meeting.
Masters still have the same diamonds for league.
Masters Tournament will be weekend of August 24/19 at St. Clair College
Diane Brecht received a text message from Elish regarding the Charity Tournament for Father's Day weekend in June. Wondering if the Master's teams would like to participate? This will be an SPN tournament.
In regards to the mention that Gilanders would like to join the Master's Division, there would be an odd number of teams; therefore, the Master’s membership would have to vote. At this time there is no information regarding this move.
