NOTE: All MMCSL players and coaches are required to sign the Code Of Conduct prior to participating in any practice or game, whichever comes first.
Team Managers will receive the Code of Conduct for all players to sign. The below information is the actual Code of Conduct content.
CODE OF CONDUCT AGREEMENT
As a member of a team that plays in the Millcreek Modified Christian Softball League (MMCSL), I hereby agree to conduct myself in a manner that would be expected of a church member. Although I may not be an active church member, I hereby acknowledge that, as a member of a team in the league, I am representing my team and the church sponsor, as well as the Millcreek Modified Christian Softball League.
By signing, I am agreeing to the following:
- That I will not use foul or abusive language;
- That I will not play in a manner that could intentionally cause injury to another player;
- I will not provoke, threaten, or intimidate a player on another team or my own, or cause another player to suffer bodily harm;
- That I will not use any bat that has been altered or modified;
- That only my manager/team representative will be involved in official League discussion with the League Board and team representatives;
- That the ruling of the umpire is final;
- That the ruling of the League Board is final.
There shall be NO alcoholic beverages, smoking or chewing tobacco on or around any church league games (before, during or after the games).
Swearing of any kind or abusive language directed to any player or umpire shall result in indefinite suspension from the league.
Any player or team guilty of unsportsmanlike conduct (swearing, obscene gestures or intentional injury) shall be brought before the League Board for disciplinary action. The commissioner must be notified of any ejections.
Any unsportsmanlike activity shall not be tolerated. Teams with repeat offenses shall be asked to leave the league.
Please keep in mind that we play in a Christian league. We need to make sure we conduct ourselves the proper way. We have a league to be proud of, but we must all work and have fun to keep it special.
Banned players / teams list is kept with the commissioner. Team rosters will be reviewed at the start of each season and throughout if changes are made to ensure that banned players are not included in rosters. Banned players shall not be used as a substitute.
It is the duty of the team managers/coaches to hold their players responsible for maintaining a Christian attitude while playing. This must be maintained for believers and non-believers.
Any player making unsportsmanlike conduct may be asked to leave the league. The League Board shall review all unsportsmanlike behavior, and appropriate action shall be taken.
Failure to adhere to or follow any of these rules may result in ejection from games, suspension, or expulsion from the MMCSL. The League Board shall rule on any suspension or expulsion that has been recommended.
NOTE: All MMCSL players and coaches are required to sign the Code Of Conduct prior to participating in any practice or game, whichever comes first.
