PARENT’S CODE OF ETHICS
I hereby pledge to provide support, care, and encouragement for my child participating in youth sports by following this code of ethics.
I will encourage good sportsmanship by demonstrating positive comments to players, cheerleaders, coaches, and officials at every game or practice.
I will place the emotional and physical well being of my child ahead of any personal desire to win.
I will insist that my child play in a safe and healthy environment.
I will provide support for coaches and officials working with my child to provide a positive, enjoyable experience for all.
I will demand a drug, alcohol and tobacco-free sports environment for my child and agree to assist by refraining from their use at all sports events.
I will remember that the game is for children and not for adults.
I will do my very best to make youth sports fun for my child.
I will ask my child to treat other players, cheerleaders, coaches, fans, and officials with respect regardless of race, sex, creed, or ability.
I will promise to help my child enjoy youth sports by assisting with coaching, being a respectful fan, providing transportation or whatever I am capable of doing.
I will provide transportation to and from practices/games and I understand that I am expected to pick up my child promptly after every game/practice, to avoid putting the coach in a position where he/she is waiting beyond the set time after practice/game.
I will report any grievance to the Coach and/or Assistant Coach, within 24 hours of the occurrence of the incident before going to any Kissimmee Youth Football Board. I will follow the grievance process set forth Coach, Assistant Coach, Cheer/Football Coordinator, Commissioner.
By signing this code of Ethics, I am expected to inform all persons that will attend any practices or games of these rules. This includes any other parents/guardians, family, and friends.
I will adhere to all the rules, guidelines, policies, and procedures set forth in the Kissimmee Youth Football and Cheerleading Handbook.
