M.I.S.T. 2024 TOURNAMENT RULES AND REGULATIONS THE MARKHAM WOMEN’S SLO-PITCH LEAGUE WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY INJURIES DURING THE TOURNAMENT WEEKEND NSA/HOUSE LEAGUE RULES APPLY WITH THE FOLLOWING EXCEPTIONS:

1. Each team must have at least 11 players on their roster to compete. This must be the case for BOTH FRIDAY AND SATURDAY. Teams that do not have 11 players will be provided with a spare(s). Team Rosters must be completed 2 weeks prior to M.I.S.T tournament and be SUBMITTED TO THE TOURNAMENT DIRECTOR by FRIDAY JUNE 21TH , 2024 at the latest. This will allow sufficient time to find necessary spares.
2. Spares will not be provided beyond the 11 players unless a team knows that they will have 11 players on Friday and then be down to 10 players on Saturday. In this case, a spare will be asked to play Saturday, and will also be invited to play with the team on Friday, bringing the team’s Friday Roster to 12 players.
3. Should a team request that they need a player for the tournament, and a spare has been placed on their team, they will be allowed to play, even if a regular team member shows up who had previously said they were not able to play.
4.  Spares will be chosen first from the M.W.S.L waiting list (unless the team requires a pitcher). If no players/pitchers are available from the waitlist the Registrar/Tournament Director will fill the roster at their discretion.
5.  Spares will be required to pay a $40.00 registration fee – prior to the start of the tournament.
6.  Once the tournament has commenced on the Friday night, if additional players are required, as a result of INJURY or unforeseeable events, the Tournament Director MUST be advised. An ATTEMPT will be made to fill the gap, however a replacement player may not be found, that team will have to play the balance of the tournament with less than 11 players.
7.  A team must field a minimum of 8 players to compete.
8.  Teams will not be allowed to borrow players during the tournament. Unless in dire situation, the Tournament Director will make a decision if a player is needed.
