Ransburg BSA Health Medical Form
Click here for the BSA Medical form A, B and C.
The BSA medical form has been revised and the only form that Ransburg will accept is this one.
Everyone going to summer camp needs to have a new physical each year. So, start making your doctor appointments and download the new form. These should be turned in annually by June 1 to Mr Sandoval.

Mosquito Netting
Ransburg tents are "wall tents" on platforms with a cot for each scout, and a 2” mattress for each cot. The wall tents do not keep bugs out. Many Scouts use SansBugs (click here) to keep bugs off. You can also make your own mosquito nets. See this link for directions: Mosquito net plans for Scout cots at camp (click here)

The Ransburg Prayer
Dear Lord,
Please grant us fair weather and fair skies, at the Ransburg Scout Reservation. May we enjoy the land and lake, that you have created for us. That we would leave only footprints and memories, as we walk where many have trod. May the spiders be few and the weather comfortable. Keep us safe on our drive down and at camp. Most of all help us to Stay Focused - Hydrated and especially keep us Cool.
Amen

One Way to Remove a Tick
Found this on the Starved Rock site – hiking tips:
Here is a good way to get ticks off you, your children or your pets. Apply a glob of liquid soap to a cotton ball. Cover the tick with the soap-soaked ball and swab it for a few seconds (15-20), the tick will come out on its own and be stuck to the cotton ball when you lift it away. This is much less traumatic for the patient and easier to administer.
