NYCTHA's Inaugural Regular Season
John participated in the NYCTHA's Inaugural Season, attending in December 2006 and March 2007. In his first games against Lou Marinoff and Greg Scoma, he lost by a single goal in each game, 1-2, 0-1, respectively.
By March, most of the NYCTHA regular players were at their peak performance. John Poulianos, not a regular, and after not playing for a few months, managed to tie a red hot John Power, 1-1.
John Poulianos finished the regular season ranked 17th of 21 players. Yet, he demonstrated very good defensive skill. While he lost 31 games (won 2 and tied 7), he finished with a very respectable 2.88 goals against average, placing his defense 12th of 21 players! Some work on offense would likely enable him to jump up in the rankings next season.
