Long Island Boys of Summer registration for 2022 is now open! Summer registration is $2200 for a 24-game regular season plus playoffs. A $500 deposit will hold your spot in our Summer season. To align with what we have done this past Fall, we are adding a third division at the 13U-16U ages called the Central division. The National will be the most competitive with American being the next most competitive and Central being the least (best suited for new/developmental teams). The Varsity and College Crossover ages will have one division each however your selection of National/American/Central will aid us in creating a schedule for your team that is as competitive as possible. In addition to your deposit, please fill out the 2022 Team Registration Form online as well.
We are also proud to announce that we will be running the 2022 Memorial Day Clash Tournament together with East Coast Tournaments (May 27-30) as well as our 3rd Annual Mike Leiderman Columbus Day Tournament (October 7-10). Order forms for baseballs can be found here. The league is in the fourth year of its contract to use the NCAA Spalding baseballs this summer. We've added more fields in Nassau County and we are excited to continue in our relationships with the other venue owners around Long Island.
Lastly for the College Division in 2022, we are proud to announce that we have successfully moved our college division into the Blue Chip Collegiate Baseball League. Our third year of the highly competitive LI Boys of Summer Perfect Game Collegiate League for players with college eligibility was a rousing success. We will hand off to the BCCBL this summer. The BCCBL College Division will expand to a 14-team league with two divisions to accommodate the influx of Boys of Summer collegiate teams. It will be an invite only league. For any teams not playing in the BCCBL, we will offer an 18-and-over division for teams aging out of high school and heading into the college ranks with less stringent rules for blacked-out dates and scheduling purposes. Full teams can register normally using the team registration link above. Single players can also register for the college division which includes freshman players by emailing us at liboysofsummer@gmail.com with your name and contact information to be placed on our free agent list for college players. The fee for single college players will be $975 for the season which includes league registration, uniforms, umpire fees, and baseballs.
